James Bondage 2012 ~The Deviant Fairytale~

Tick tock, tick tock, time to hit the dance floor it's 9 o'clock! Boom, and just like that the countdown to the greatest party of the year is officially on! Trinity Romance's 8th edition of our annual James Bondage Valentines Fundraising Extravaganza has now arrived and donations are officially being taken.

Centred deep within a dark European forest comes the ghost of fairytales past in a theme that spirals around a Brothers Grimmesque tale w

here dark will quarrel with light, and good will struggle with evil in a battle of the ages. Populated with an array of characters from stories long ago our minds will wander down a garden path of ecstasy and desire in a synchronous mind-thumping beat. This years performances will include the traveling forest creatures known as the Myth Makers, and the ever-riling Sweet Soul Burlesque troupe who are poised and ready to ‘bring it’. The gypsy queen Jezebel will also be seen transforming a brass pole into a medium of art, and passion.

Fetish dress code is strictly enforced. If you don't come properly attired your options are as follows:

strip down to your undies.
wear a black garbage bag that will be provided for you at the door.
leave and come back with the appropriate attire.

WHAT WON'T GET YOU IN THE DOOR :

Plain jeans, cargo pants, t-shirts, suits or plain work wear. Absolutely no street or casual wear! Lower genital nudity is not permitted.

WHAT WILL GET YOU IN THE DOOR:

Feel free to wear any and all kinds of - pvc, leather, rubber, bondage tape, vinyl, tuxedo, chaps, costume, uniform, kilt, body paint, lingerie, saran wrap, or just about anything else your inner eros can procure.

There is a strict no camera rule at James Bondage. This party is about all letting your inhibitions roam free and being comfortable in an environment wear everybody is on the same vibe. People are dressed and celebrating their inner kink, so having Jo Fratboy, or Fratgirl taking photo's without asking, and posting them here and there doesn't fly, so we've decided to rule out the opportunity. In place of bringing your own camera we'll be having a professional photo booth set-up where you can have your images printed right on site. Trust us when we say the quality will be better, and you won't have to worry about finding a spot on your scantily clad body to tape your camera to.

James Bondage 2011-- Welcome to the Circus

In this its 6th inception our annual James Bondage Fetish Fundraiser is getting ready to huff, and puff, and blow your house down. To date this party has managed to raise 25k for the Howe Sound Women's Centre, 10k for public art installations, 10k for local mountain bike trails, and 3k for Humanity Village. Aside from its communitarian aspect this extravaganza is sensory experience like none other. This years event will fusing performance art, with amazing decor, and top flight DJ's James Bondage will wind you through three themed rooms of circus themed opulence. This party exists to create a space free of judgement, and open to artistic expression in a multitude of dimensions where social heirarchies take a back seat to good times and a good cause. We ask all guest to check their ego's at the door, relax, soak up the atmosphere, and prepare to have your proverbial box incinerated. A strict dress code will be enforced at the door.

Burlesque or Bust-- An intro to classic burlesque striptease

The stunningly sensational Burgandy Brixx will guide us through 2 hours of unadulterated ladies night out bliss. In the process she will cover some of the rich and colourful history and heritage of the art form, as well as introducing you to all the basic building blocks of burlesque striptease including presence, poise, sensual movement, bumps and grinds, essential peeling techniques, and some pastie twirling tips to cap it all off. By the end of the evening you'll have learned the essentials of a classic burlesque striptease routine to add to your ever-so-sassy repertoire. This night promises to be a lot of fun for young and old alike. Please preregister at the shop as space for this amazing event is limited. We look forward to seeing you there.

What to Bring

Comfortable clothing that you can move in that shows your body line (yoga, fitness, dancewear is fine)
A two-strap bra that will fit OVER your clothes
A pair of panties or an elastic waist skirt that will fit OVER your clothes
A pair of comfortable high heels
Long gloves (if you have them - I will have several pairs for class use)
Tasseled Pasties. We'll also have some available for purchase if you don't have your own

Nude or Nothing, Artist's Reception – Life Drawings by Toby Jaxon

Toby Jaxon would like to announce her Life Drawing retrospective titled "Nude or Nothing". You are invited to the Artist’s Opening Reception. It's a "fresh" take on a life drawing collection by Toby Jaxon. Come by for some nibblies and such. Adults only. It's Halloween week - so artsy costumes are optional. Hope to see you there!

Dr. Sketchy vs Squamish

Still Life, Models, Makeup, Music, and Wine.. Oh My!

On a dark Thursday evening in October by the light of a full moon Trinity Romance Shop, Grilled Fromage, Laurel Terlesky, and Beauty Calls will be bringing Squamish the first ever Dr. Sketchy's inspired night. Bring your pencils and papers to Grilled Fromage and relax in a chill atmosphere while a Trinity Romance model strikes poses, and you try your hand at still life drawing while sipping wine. We'll be drawing for a Trinity Romance Shop Date Night Deluxe package, and a fondue night for two with wine service for one lucky couple.

Come and join us for an exclusive evening with your friends and venture down for an after hours opening of Trinity Romance Shop to discover some great tips, and ideas for kindling the love vibe. Explore, mingle & enjoy some intimate tips on passion time management, healthy sex toys, and a brief history of the modern day woman served up by our knowledgeable resident Sexperts.

Afterwards we’ve arranged a little dessert and drinks special for your pleasure just down the street at La Petite Burrow to cap off a fun evening.

Then after it's all wrapped up we can all head out and check out the SERF Music Festival on the Squamish Oceanfront to cap off a day of Squamish arts and culture. Once again the much-awaited James Bondage Valentines Bash is upon us. This fetish fundraiser will donate all of this years proceeds to the Howe Sound Women's Centre, and our BIA to implement public art projects downtown. As always this party gets exponentially bigger and this year is no different. Featuring three rooms, six d.j.'s, live vocal performances, body painting by local artists, erotic food experiences, bouffons, lingerie fashion shows (men & women), and over top lights sound and decor. This event sold out in three days last year so please don’t wait to get your ticket and support this worthwhile cause.

KISS ME LIKE THIS (an interactive couples class)

Tuesday November 27th @ 7pm

Kisses are at times tender, endearing, sexy, suave, teasing and sophisticated. From the subtle, the pre coital to the full on public display of affection variety, this class will ignite some passion between your lips and in your relationship. You and your partner will be guided through an awakening of oral delights. You’ll be shown how to deliver a multitude of kisses and given tips to interpret smooch reactions and read body language. JAMES BONDAGE VALENTINES BASH (women's shelter fundraiser)

Saturday February 16th Doors at 8pm

James Bondage an enigma, a culture, a hybrid of art, party, and nouveau vaudeville all rolled into one. Originally conceived back in 2005 as a fun way to raise money for our local women’s shelter, and a vehicle to promote the newly founded Trinity Romance Shop (www.trinityromance.com) it has grown into an event of epic proportions. Last year Trinity Romance Shop teamed with local mountain bike advocates SORCA to bring a broader base to its annual event with all proceeds getting split between The Howe Sound Women’s Centre and the local bike group. Split groups or not though the fundamental mantra behind the party is empowerment. The idea of giving the members of our direct community a space that inspires enough confidence to let themselves truly shine. This is space free of judgment, and open to artistic expression in a multitude of dimensions where social hierarchies take a back seat to good times and a good cause. Since its inception it’s raised thousands of dollars for the charities and continues to try to top itself every year. The talents for this year’s production features a lingerie fashion show, charity casino, and aerial bondage display. The dress code that is strictly enforced at the door is a testament to our community’s sassiness, classiness, and creativity. Whether you wear a vine, or a 3-piece suit (both have been done) we ask that you check your egos at the door, relax, soak up the atmosphere for a while and prepare to have your proverbial box incinerated and be open to the feeling of one love washing over you.
